Keep the ball away from sharp things, like staples on the floor. Top it up with the pump when it feels soft. Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Lock the two lockable wheels before you sit down or get up.
About this product
A 52 cm exercise ball held in a rolling base at desk height.
Made for people from 152 to 180 cm tall. The ball lifts out, and the air pump is in the box.
An exercise ball sitting in a rolling base, so it stays put at desk height.
The ball is 52 cm across and lifts out, so you can use it on the floor for exercises too.
The base has four easy-glide caster wheels, two of them lockable, plus an adjustable metal support bar.
It is designed for people from 152 to 180 cm tall and fits most standard size desks.
An air pump and a desk exercise guide are in the box, and the chair is black.
A balance ball chair is an exercise ball held in a frame on wheels. The frame stops the ball rolling away and keeps it at a height that works with a desk. That's the whole idea, and it's a good one.
Sitting on a ball means you keep making small movements instead of holding one fixed position. Some people find that more comfortable. Others miss a backrest by mid-afternoon. Both are normal.
So we'll be straight with you: this isn't the right main chair for everyone. Using it for an hour or two, then switching back to a regular chair, is a perfectly good way to own one.
The ball is 52 cm and comes out of the base, so it doubles as a floor exercise ball. The air pump is included. Expect to top the ball up once or twice after the first inflation, so it sits snugly in the base.
Height matters more here than with a normal chair, because there is no gas lift. The maker designs it for people between 152 and 180 cm. Outside that range you may end up too low or too high for your desk.
It is an active way to sit at home, at school or in the office, and that is what we are selling. We don't claim it relieves back pain or improves focus.
Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
You can return a product within 15 days of purchase under our returns policy. It needs to be in its original packaging, with your receipt or order confirmation. On a change of mind the return postage is yours, so it is worth asking us a question first if you are unsure about size or fit.
If it turns up damaged, goes missing in delivery or we send the wrong item, that is on us: tell us straight away and we cover the return and put it right. Nothing in our policy takes away the rights your Singapore consumer law gives you. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.
Got questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
What size is the ball?
52 cm across. It lifts out of the base and works as a regular exercise ball.
How tall do I need to be?
The maker designs it for people between 152 and 180 cm tall.
Will it fit under my desk?
It is made to fit most standard size desks. If your desk is unusually high or low, measure first.
Does it have a backrest?
No backrest is in the parts list. It has an adjustable metal support bar instead. If you like to lean back for long stretches, a regular office chair will suit you better.
Will it roll away when I sit down?
Two of the four caster wheels lock. Lock them before you sit or stand and it stays where it is.
Do I need to pump up the ball?
Yes, and the air pump is included. You may need to re-inflate it once or twice after the first time so it sits properly in the base.
Can I use the ball on its own?
Yes. It comes out of the base, and there is an exercise guide in the box.
What weight can it hold?
The maker does not publish a weight limit for this chair, and we won't guess one. If that matters to you, contact us before you order and we will ask the supplier.
How much does it weigh?
5.6 kg, so it is easy to move between rooms.
What colour is it?
Black. It is one model, with no colour options on this store.
Is it hard to put together?
No. The maker calls it minor assembly and setup. Most of the time goes into pumping up the ball.
Can I sit on it all day?
You can, but you don't have to. Using it in blocks, with a regular chair for the rest of the day, is an easy way to start.
Is it good for back pain?
We don't make health claims for it. Some people find a ball more comfortable than a fixed seat and some don't. For back pain, a physiotherapist is the person to ask.
What comes in the box?
The ball, the chair base, a metal ball holder, the adjustable support bar, four caster wheels, an air pump and a desk exercise guide.
What if I'm taller than 180 cm?
It may sit too low for you. The maker's design range tops out at 180 cm, so a height-adjustable office chair could be the better buy.
How much is delivery on the Balance Ball Chair?
Free on orders of $75 or more. Below that it is a flat $25, whatever you order.
How long will it take to arrive?
5 to 7 days after a 24 to 48 hour handling time. The handling time is the part before it leaves us, and the 5 to 7 days is the delivery itself.
Is there a faster delivery option?
Yes. Express Delivery is a $25 upgrade you can pick at the cart, even on an order that already gets free delivery. It goes on our fastest tracked service. We do not quote a separate delivery time for it, so if you need something by a date, email us before you order.

Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. We are an online store with no physical shop or showroom.
